AI & Automated Decision-Making Disclosure

Last updated: 11 June 2026

Why this disclosure exists

AgentiCareer uses artificial intelligence to help you find and apply for jobs. This page explains, in line with the EU AI Act and Articles 13, 14 and 22 of the GDPR, where automated decisions are made about your job search, the logic behind them, why they matter, and the controls you have over them.

Where solely-automated decisions are made

At the highest automation setting (auto-submit, available on paid plans), AgentiCareer can submit real job applications to employers on your behalf without a separate human decision about whether to apply to each individual job. This is a solely-automated decision that produces significant effects for you, because real applications are sent to third-party employers in your name.

Lower automation settings, and AI-generated drafts (tailored CVs, cover letters and reply suggestions) that you review before they are used, are NOT solely-automated decisions: a human - you - remains in the loop for the decision that matters.

The logic involved

The decision to auto-submit an application is based on a match score, not on a human-style judgement of your character. The logic works as follows:

  • We compute a numeric representation (an embedding) of your profile and of each job advertisement, and measure how closely they correspond.
  • Each job receives a match score from that comparison. When a job's score is at or above the score threshold for auto-submit, it becomes eligible for automatic submission.
  • The system does not make any assessment of protected characteristics, and the score reflects the fit between your stated profile and the job advertisement only.

Significance and consequences

When auto-submit is enabled and a job scores above the threshold, an application is sent to that employer automatically, in your name, with the application materials prepared for you. The consequence is that you may enter recruitment processes, and share your personal data with employers, without a further per-application step by you. The disclosure of this logic, its significance and its consequences is also presented to you at the point where you enable auto-submit.

Your right not to be subject to automated decisions

Under GDPR Art. 22 you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing. You can exercise the following safeguards at any time, without losing the rest of the service:

  • Require human approval: turn on a per-account 'require human approval' setting. Every auto-eligible job is then paused for your explicit approval of whether to apply, even at the highest automation setting. This does not change your displayed automation level or withdraw any consent.
  • Contest a decision: every automatically submitted application carries a 'request human review of this decision' action. This records your point of view and routes the case to a member of our team for human review.
  • Turn off auto-submit: you can lower your automation setting at any time so that no application is submitted without your decision.

Safeguards and human oversight

These controls are part of the automated-decision safeguards built into the service. They are independent of your data-sharing consent (which is a separate, all-or-nothing permission) and remain available to you at every automation level. For full details of how we handle your personal data and your data-subject rights, see our Privacy Policy and Data Subject Request page.
